C3VO Survey

The Charting Cluster Construction with VUDS and ORELSE (C3VO) survey maps five of the most massive cosmic structures in the early universe (z ~ 2–5). Combining deep spectroscopy from Keck Observatory (DEIMOS and MOSFIRE) with multi-wavelength mapping, C3VO's primary goals are to map cosmic structure growth over 12 billion years, track how galaxy properties change across different cosmic environments, and identify detection biases when finding early forming galaxy clusters.

GOGREEN Survey

The Gemini Observations of Galaxies in Rich Early Environments (GOGREEN) survey is a premier spectroscopic initiative targeting 21 distant galaxy clusters and groups (z > 1). Securing spectra for over 1,000 cluster galaxies with Gemini Observatory, GOGREEN's main goals are to discover how dense group and cluster environments shape galaxy growth, uncover why early cluster galaxies shut down star formation, and provide a legacy dataset to test theories of cosmic structure formation.

Grism Reionization And Cosmic Evolution (GRACE) is an approved ultra-deep Wide Field Instrument (WFI) spectroscopic survey with NASA's Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, designed to construct a sensitive 3D map of galaxies covering 1.5 square degrees in the Chandra Deep Field South. Bridging a vital gap in depth and sky coverage between JWST and wide-field surveys from Euclid and Roman, GRACE is optimized to detect Lyman-alpha emitters (z = 7–10) to obtain definitive measurements of the epoch and pace of cosmic reionization. The survey will deliver ~290,000 emission-line redshifts to train photometric models for faint galaxies in the redshift desert, directly answering how galaxies influenced their cosmic environment and how environment shaped galaxy evolution across the first three-quarters of cosmic history.
